Ziad Bsaibes Crowned Best Employer Of The Year

Ziad Bsaibes of Mamba Point, Lagoonda Resort, Cape Road, Aberdeen, Freetown has on Wednesday 1st May, 2019 crowned by the Sierra Leone Labour Congress (SLLC) and Partners as the Best Employer of the year under review – 2018/2019.

The award ceremony which was held at the Miatta Conference Center, Youyi Building under the distinguished grand Chief patronage of His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio witnessed the recognition of Ziad Bsaibes’ contributions toward youth and women empowerment through job creation and by extension, contributing to the country’s economy.

According to SLLC, Ziad Basibes in 2018/2019 provided employment to a good number of Sierra Leoneans especially women and the youths who form bulk of the country’s population.

SLLC continued that Ziad Bsaibes met all the government’s set standards for employment including honouring the minimum wage for workers, National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) contribution, leave and sick allowances, provision of safety gears to workers, constant engagement with workers, among others.

In his response, Ziad Bsaibes stated that the award did not come as a surprise to him, pointing out that over the years, he has always made sure that he went by government’s set standards in providing jobs for Sierra Leoneans, adding that he has always maintained a very cordial relationship with his workers.

He assured SLLC that he would do more, noting that the private sector contributes a great deal to the country’s economy. He therefore urged others to follow suit.
