Treason Trial… Palo Conteh In Court Tomorrow

The Former Minister of Defense and Internal Affairs, Rtd Major Alfred Palo Conteh together with the Deputy Commissioner of National Commission for Small Arms, Colonel (Rtd) Sahr Anthony Sinnah and former Pay Master at the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF),    Prince George Hughes will on Wednesday, 29th April made their first appearance before Honorable Justice Momoja Stevens in the High Court of Freetown.

The Former Minister of Defense and Internal Affairs who was standing preliminary trial before Principal Magistrate Hannah Bonnie for various treason related offences was committed to the High Court for further trials.

Rtd Major Alfred Palo Conteh was expected to appear before the High Court but the High Court issued a press release postponing the hearing to tomorrow, Wednesday, 29th April, 2020. The reason for the postponement was however not stated.

It could be called that the former head of the National Ebola Response Center (NERC) was for the second time, invited to a meeting at State House by the President, Rtd. Brig Julius Maada Bio for deliberations on how to tackle the deadly Coronavirus pandemic but was intercepted by State House security guards and allegedly found in his possession a brown bag with a fully loaded Gluck 17 pistol which was later discovered to be an unlicensed and an unregistered fire arm.
