The National Executive Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Dr. Prince Harding has said in Freetown that the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) is disseminating hate messages to certain youths of the ruling party to distract their attention ahead of the 2023 elections which, he said, the party is fully prepared for.

Dr. Prince Harding disclosed that he has an enviable record in Africa politics, citing the fact that as the party’s National Secretary General and National Chairman at different, he has twice removed the All People’s Congress Party from power.

He said the APC has engaged in all types of machinations to distract the attention of the ruling party in its governance policies, adding that he is going retain national leadership position of the party till the party’s convention in September 2019. He said with him at helm of affairs in the party he succeeded in sending the APC into what he called, “political oblivion.”

Dr. Harding furthered that news doing the rounds that certain youths of the party are protesting against him as the party’s National chairman, is false and incorrect, adding that whosoever wants the leadership of the party is welcome but that it has to be determined by the ballot box.

Speaking on the ongoing Commissions of inquiry, the SLPP Chairman said certain APC stalwarts want to politicize them by calling them a witch-hunt.
