SLP To Recruit 1700

The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) is reportedly in the process of recruiting up to one thousand seven hundred personnel to be deployed across the country.

Recently, the SLP released a list of 1700 names that were invited to conduct medical checkups. According to the Communication Directorate of the SLP, the Executive Management Board (EMB) of the SLP has released the names as part of the normal recruitment process in the force. The 1700 personnel, according to the SLP were selected from among tens of thousands of applicants.

The SLP Communications Unit also told this press that as of now, the recruitment is very necessary to the force. Most of the recruits, according to the SLP, will be posted to different divisions including, traffic, FSU, constable, among others. After the medical test, the recruits will be invited to take part in a month’s training at Hastings Police Training School.
