S/Leonean Students Grab Venezuela Scholarship

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Alie Kabba has reportedly received study scholarships for Science students to study Medicine at the Republic of Venezuela.

In his discussion with the Venezuelan Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yuri Pimentel during his stay in Nairobi, Dr. Kabba applauded the Vice Minister, whose country, he said, has been giving support to Sierra Leone.

He added that education is a primary focus within the policies of the President’s Bio’s ‘New Direction’ administration, adding that graduates returning from Venezuela have a strong effect on the quality of lives of Sierra Leoneans.

He thanked the government of Venezuela for always offering constant support to Sierra Leone and declared that the doors of the nation are always open to them.

In his response, the Vice Foreign Affairs Minister of Venezuela, Yuri Pimental thanked Dr. Alie Kabba for acknowledging Venezuela support to Sierra Leone.  He called on the Foreign Affairs Minister to find specific areas of cooperation in a bid to make it happen for the two bilateral countries.

“The Venezuela government will continue to help in the provisions of scholarships to Sierra Leonean students in various significant fields of studies,” he assured.

Yuri Pimental provided to work in parallel with Dr. Alie Kabba so that they can establish relevant areas of cooperation to support the ‘New Direction’ administration.
