The Desk Officer of Open Government Partnership (OGP) under the National Council for Civic Education and Development (NaCCED), Hannah Hamida Jimmy has disclosed that OGP is in the process of the ‘Third Action Plan’ around the five grand challenges of Improved Public Service Delivery; Improved Public Integrity; Creating Safer Communities; Improved Corporate Social Responsibility; and, Effective Management of Public Resources.

According to Madam Jimmy, Sierra Leone has been a member of the OGP since 2013 after the Right to Access Information (RAI) Bill was passed as an Act of Parliament, adding that since then, the country has developed two National Action Plans (NAPs) implemented over a four-year period.

She noted that the National Action Plan 1 had eleven commitments with fifty-four milestones and was implemented between 2014 and 2016, whilst the second NAP had ten commitments with fifty-three commitments.

Madam Jimmy urged stakeholders and concerned people to be involved in carrying out sensitization on the process. She solicited comments/suggestions and inputs through text messages.
