The newly approved Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), Ambrose Michael Sovula, who took the oath of office on Monday 23rd March 2020, has pledged to serve the entire nation and not a particular set of people, region or ethnicity.

According to IG Ambrose M. Sovula, the country needs good policing to maintain law and order and to protect life and property as the primacy of the Force, noting that despite the numerous challenges facing the SLP, his leadership will embark on community engagements to known the various concerns and problems affecting the people.

The IG assured that with the support of the media and everyone onboard, he would bring about the necessary change in the SLP.

On his appointment, IG Sovula remarked that his appointment did not come as a surprised because, according to him, he has served the SLP for forty (40) years with dedication, assiduity and probity.
