Murder Trial… 6 FBC Students In Court Today

Six students of Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone (USL), Francis Mafinda, Dennis Holland, Abassie Sesay, Mukeh Foh, Lawrence Lahai Amara and David Williams who are also members of Klymax Klub, a fraternity with the Black family will today Monday, 13th July, 2020 appear before Justice Ivan Sesay at the Freetown High Court.

The six accused Klymax Klub member will be a arraigned before the court for two counts charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and murder contrary to law.

According to the charge sheet, the State alleged that all six accused persons in July 2018 at Gloucester, Sorie Town, conspired with other unknown person to murder one Albert Madison Bio during an initiation ceremony of the Klymax Club at FBC.

The six accused during their last appearance in court pleaded not guilty when charges preferred against them were read to them on the commencement of the hearing at High Court.

The Defense Counsel for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th accused, A.S Marah Esq. told the court that the second accused wish to give evidence through the witness in which, he said, the second to the sixth accused rely entirely on statements made to the police.

The lawyer for the 1st accused, I. Tommy Esq. also told the court that his client solely relies on statement he made to the police and will not furnish the court with any other witness to give testimony on the matter.

Justice Ivan Sesay has however instructed the State Prosecutor, Adrian, Fischer to be prepared come the next adjourned date for the matter to proceed.

It could be recalled that Albert Madison Bio who was student of Fourah Bay College and of Sociology Department – Year III was allegedly murdered by members of Klymax Fraternity during the initiation of new members of the Klub. The matter comes up today, 12th July, 2020.
