Juror Slammed Bench Warrant

The presiding Judge in the matter between the State and one Alfred Koroma, Justice Alusine Sesay has slammed a bench warrant on one of the Jurors in the said matter, Joseph K. Vandy for absenting himself from the hearing. According to the Judge, experience over the years has taught him that certain jurors of in the habit of boycotting court sittings.
The accused stands charged for allegedly murdering one Sia Nyuma on the 7th of February 2016 along the Lumley Beach Road.

Justice Alusine Sesay said the Juror should be arrested and detained and brought to court on the next adjourned date for admonishment.

The state counsel JAK Sesay said the Prosecution Witness was in court to testify on the matter but the absence of the juror led to the adjournment of the matter without any progress made. Justice Alusine expressed anger over the absence of the juror as according to him that would affect the matter before the court.

The matter stands adjourned to the 12th of December, 2016.
