Head of Police Media, Superintendent Brima Kamara has, in a press conference held at the Police Headquarters on George Street, Freetown, recently disclosed that the police have discovered one corpse and arrested five suspects with small arms and ammunitions, following the December 30, 2018 shootout at Jorpoh Farm, Off Waterloo.

According to Mr. Kamara, the Police Division in Waterloo received a report of a shooting incident involving some military men. Following that report, he said, the police swiftly materialized at the crime scene but that nothing of security interest was discovered.

He furthered that the police received a tip-off from residents within the area and a joint team of police and military personnel stormed the scene and they found a corpse which was identified as Amadu Mansaray, aged 22, of Baglona Village.

The Police, he confirmed, have arrested five persons including two military personnel, Ibrahim Kamara and Bashiru Conteh both attached to the Benguima Engineering Unit and reportedly on the run.

The five suspects, he said, are helping the police with investigations at the Waterloo Police Division.
