Report reaching The Exclusive indicates that Isha Johansen, Mohamed Kallon and Rodney Michael would vie for the presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA). The main criteria to qualify for the SLFA Presidency is that one should have been a chairman of a football club or a football association.

Isha Johansen formed Johansen Football Club, one of the teams in the premier league. She has put Sierra Leone on the football map as the second female football president in the world and first female president in the West African region. She is also a member of one of FIFA’s standing committee.

However, during her four year leadership of SLFA, because of infighting, the Ebola outbreak in 2014 and 2015, other administrative challenges and the mudslide and flooding that hit Freetown last year, no premier league football competitions were organized in the country.

Mohamed Kallon played professional football in Egypt, France, Italy, China and also for Sierra Leone.  He was the founder and chairman of the Allen Town Football Association and also owns a football club, F.C Kallon. He has secured an ‘A’ License coaching course from FIFA.

Rodney Michael has been in active football since 1986 and won two league titles with Bo Contractors in 1986 and 1987 when he was the manager. He also managed the Bo District Football team, Kakua Rangers.
