Gov’t’s Successes… V.P Outlines

The Hon. Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has on Wednesday, 26th June, 2019 highlighted the successes of the Bio administration one year success in the second edition of the ‘New Direction’ Magazine while launching it at State House.

According to the Hon. Vice President, with more zeal and determination to do more, the President Bio led administration in one year has been able to achieve much success in all sectors of governance.

Some of the key achievements, he said, include the country’s medium term plan, which, he said, has transformed Sierra Leone through the positioning of the human capital development that introduces new methodological framework that has moved the country from a classical Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) system to that of a people-centred one as well as showcasing government’s diversification.

The ‘New Direction’ in the last one year, he said, introduced the free quality education that caters for over two million pupils across the country which in the future will help strengthen the human resource base of the country. The government, he added, has also moved GDP to 5% with a high revenue performance.

Tremendous achievements, the VP said, have been made in other areas including agriculture, energy and water supply, Justice system, women and youth empowerment, transport, infrastructure, among others, which, he said, the magazine catalogued in a well concrete and structured story telling fashion.

Head of Strategic Communication at State House Dr. Patrick K. Muana stated that the ‘New Direction’ Magazine is a Communication tool designed to tell the true government stories to the world regarding its successes and achievements.
