For Police Recruitment… 1000 Shortlisted

Director of Community Affairs of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Kalia Edward Sesay, has disclosed that they have completed the short-listing of Sierra Leoneans opting to be recruited into the force in 2019.

The full list, he said, will be published anytime soon.

He made this disclosure on Thursday, 24th January 2019 at the police headquarters on George Street while updating the public through the media on the activities of the SLP.

Those shortlisted, he said, will have to write the SLP entrance examination and successful candidates would then undergo three to six months training at the Hastings Peace and Security Academy.

It could be recalled that in November last year, the Minister of Finance, Jacob Jusu Saffa while reading the 2019 budget disclosed that government will have to recruit 1000 police personnel.
