By Aruna Rashid Toma Bangura

The Director of Public Education and Outreach Department at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Mr. Patrick Sandy has disclosed that the Commission has granted bail in the sum of Le40M and 2 sureties each to 62 accused that were apprehended for examination  malpractices at Cockle Bay along Sir Samuel Lewis Road, west of Freetown.

The said accused were ordered by the ACC to make themselves available whenever they are called upon for further investigation at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters.

According to Mr. Sandy, others were refused bail because they allegedly committed serious offences that are still under investigation.

The ACC, he assured, would handle any examination malpractices to its logical conclusion, whilst reiterating that the people of this country must repose confidence in the ACC.
