Ebola Recovery Hits The Rock

Following the emergence of another viral decease “Zika Virus”, the US congress has proposed that three hundred and fifty million United States Dollars (US$350m) meant to rebuild the post-Ebola health care system in the three hardest hit Africa countries be diverted towards the Zika Virus.
This, according to report was after the Obama administration redirected five hundred and ten million United State Dollars ($510m) from the same fund towards Zika.
“Even though a white house spokesman says the money will be paid back, concerns have been expressed that it is a dangerous strategy which would badly impact response in the region should there be a new Ebola outbreak,” stated the report.
The report added that their concerns stem from the fact that the health care system in the affected countries will remain largely dysfunctional.
