In his keynote address during the ongoing 2019 Fiscal Year Budget Bilateral discussions recently at the Bank of Sierra Leone Complex in Kingtom in Freetown, the Chief Minister, Prof.  David Joseph Francis advised Ministers to focus on the eight key priority areas of the government in helping the new administration to succeed.

These key priority areas, he said, are the target of the President in his first term in office. He warned government officials to be accountable in the implementation of government projects.

Prof. Francis said development partners must also give account of their operation in the country or quite the country.

In his contribution, the Minister of Finance, Jacob Jusu Saffa said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) suspended donor support to Sierra Leone since 2017, but that negotiations are ongoing with the Fund for the provision of loan to the country.

He called on the AfDB and European donor funding partners to start awarding loans to the new government.
