Bio Jets In Today

The controversy surrounding the disappearance of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio from the country in the past two weeks will be laid to rest today.

President Bio who was last seen in Nairobi, Kenya with that country’s President, Uhuru Kenyatta, and at a Kenya game park with his wife, Fatima Bio and their daughter watching lions, is expected to touch down at the Lungi international airport today.

The nation was thrown into speculation earlier this month when the President without his usual entourage quietly left the country for what State House later said was a well deserved two weeks’ vacation – away from the stress of running the country.

Social media became inundated with news that the President was seriously ill and had sought medical attention in UK. With concerns running high and no news about the whereabouts or the health condition of the President, the Sierra Leone High Commissioner in London issued a statement that the President was hale and hearty and that there was no cause for alarm regarding  state of his health.

The next day in Freetown, the Minister of Information and Communications too went on radio to damn those  he called detractors of the President, adding that the President was not ill and remains focused on his avowed mission of delivering the country and its people from the governance failings and existential needs of the past.

As the rumor continued to do rounds the President was spotted in Kenya with pictures of him that country’s President strolling on Kenya’s State House lawn clad in a deep blue suit that did not show a man that looked sick in any way.

The two leaders agreed that the time has come for the continent to join hands to improve intra-Africa trade to augment the continent’s bargaining power on the global arena.

President Bio extended an invitation to his Kenyan counterpart so that the two countries could explore more areas of cooperation to boost their economic and people-to-people ties.
