As It Dries The Tears Of Bereaved Family… IIC Pays Beneficiary

 

The International Insurance Company (IIC) situated at Bathurst Street, Freetown has recently paid a whooping sum of twenty five million, one hundred and eighty thousand Leones (Le 25,180,000.00) to the family of late Amara Koroma who was one of the company’s clients working for the National Fire Force (NFF), before his demise.

Presenting the cheque on behalf of the company to the Chief Fire Fighter, Mr. Nazir Kamanda Bongay, the Operations Manager of the Agency, Mr. Mohamed Alimamy Koroma said the payment of the cheque to the deceased family is basically to build the confidence of the public that ICC is an insurance company of trust. “This is one of numerous services we have been offering our clients,” he said, adding the company has done similar gestures to a majority of the Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Sierra Leone.

He encouraged workers of NFF to emulate the good examples of the late man, as he was one of their trusted clients.

“We will make sure that we continue with our virtues towards our clients and we are also encouraging potential clients to join us for better service delivery,” he assured.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the (NFF), the Chief Fire Fighter, Mr. Kamanda Bongay thanked IIC for such a gesture. He further encouraged first class fire fighters to emulate the late man and expressed gratitude for such financial support allocated to the bereaved family as, according to him, the late man was not well remunerated.

He encouraged other workers to increase their insurance premiums for future incidence whilst thanking the IIC for not turning the beneficiary down.

Making a statement on behalf of the family, the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Ada Kamara said that it was a complete surprise to her and the family, as according to her, she never knew such a big package was in store for the family to survive on after the death of her husband. She confessed that her husband never discussed such development to her. She thanked IIC for such a good initiative and encouraged others to join the IIC.

The money, she said, would be used judiciously, as according to her, she intends to acquire a land a build a house for the furtherance of the family.
