The National Publicity Secretary of the All People’s Congress (APC) Party, Cornelius Deveaux has, during an exclusive interview with this medium intimated that the National Chairman and Leader of the APC, former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, has last Friday, 29th March, 2019, officially resumed work at the party offices on Old Railway Line, Brookfields, barely a year after the March 2018 elections.

During his first day at work, the APC Chairman and Leader reportedly informed party stalwarts that the one year grace period is over and that he will publicly begin to comment on national and party issues. He also held fruitful engagements with various organs of the party and diaspora representatives, the Monitoring Committee charged with the responsibility to monitor the implementation of the recommendations of the nine- man Committee and displaced members and supporters from Kailahun, Kenema, Bo, Moyamba and some parts of Kono. Cornelius Deveaux further noted that it is not yet known when the party’s Leader and Chairman will start making public statement on issues of both party and national interest. That, he said, will depend on how issues unfold. He continued that rumours doing the rounds that the former President will be making his maiden public appearance anytime soon, is not true. Ex-President Koroma’s resumption to office, he said, has rekindled fresh spirit and enthusiasm among party members and supporters, adding that he was heartily welcomed by all members present during his first day at work.
