As C4C Holds Convention Today… Sam Sumana Jets In


The newly registered political party, Coalition For Change (C4C), according to inside sources, will hold its National Delegate Convention today, Tuesday 9th January, 2018 at the Conference Hall of the Issa Catco International Hotel on Wilkinson Road, Freetown. The convention is planned, according to sources, to officially unveil the party’s national executive and endorse its presidential candidate, ahead of the 7th March, 2018 multitier elections.

According to party sources, former Vice President Alhaji Chief Abubakarr Sidique Sam Sumana who reportedly jetted in yesterday may likely be elected as the party’s March 2018 presidential candidate, unopposed. The party secretariat, sources intimate, has already completed all necessary arrangements for the three-day event that has reportedly attracted an estimated audience of five thousand delegates, as a good number of members in the Diaspora are said to have jetted in the country to grace the occasion.

“Foreign and local media are expected to cover the planned event,” one of our sources discloses, adding that the party has submitted its nominated candidates for over 80% councils nationwide and has also completed the payment of candidate nomination fees.

A thank-you tour of the party’s presidential flagbearer hopeful, sources say, is planned as a way of expressing appreciations to his numerous supporters and sympathizers, countrywide.
