As Brand Ambassador… Africell Signs LAJ

One of Sierra Leone’s leading telecommunication service providers, Africell on Wednesday, 11th July, 2018 at its National Headquarters, Wilberforce Village, unveiled the country’s leading hip-hop musical superstar, Alhaji Bankaria Bah, commonly known as King Boss LA as the company’s newest Brand Ambassador for one year.

Head of Corporate Affairs, Joe Abass Bangura stated that Africell has for years, been involved in the promotion of young talents. The company, he said, has also, been contributing in influencing young lives to make difference in society and partake in nation building as well as their individual elevation.

He cited a young Sierra Leonean innovator, Kelvin Doe whom, he said, Africell has supported and that today, he has become an international innovator, reflecting positively on the country.

The Head of Africell’s Corporate Affairs added that young people have talents which must be tapped. “Without money, they can use their God-given talents to get to the top and this is what Africell is passionate about,” said Mr. Bangura, noting further that many Sierra Leonean musicians who have partnered  Africell have grown.

King Boss LA, he said, has won the hearts and minds of young Sierra Leoneans since his debut track – “Money Na Bank” was launched in 2009 and has always been a hit in all his concerts.

Africell, he said, recognizes the huge influence LAJ has on the young folks and that it as a result of that, the company decided to tap into his talent in a bid to improve the vision and aspirations of young Sierra Leoneans.

On his part, LAJ expressed thanks and appreciation to Africell, stating that the recently signed contract was not his first encounter with the company as it has been soliciting his support before now.

The contract, he said, was like a dream come true and that he was ready to work with the company to achieve it aim.
