Anytime Next Week… Ex-President Koroma To Jet In

Reliable sources close to former President Ernest Bai Koroma who is currently abroad on vacation, has intimated The Exclusive he is due home, next week.

The President, sources say, will upon arrival address Sierra Leoneans on his take on the recently published Governance Transition Team (GTT) Report, which, among other things, implicated him on corruption related offences while serving as President of ten years.

It could be recalled that the President, shortly after the said report was made public with damning revelations on his person, issued a press release debunking its content, referring to it as “nonsense.” In the said press release, the former President he has forwarded the said report to his legal team for perusal and advice and threatened to take a legal suit against the GTT, afterwards.

With such dramatic twist, observers are of the view that the damning GTT report on the President would reduce his chances of bagging the highly coveted and prestigious Mo Ibrahim award he had been reportedly earmarked for.

According to the Publicity Secretary of the All People’s Congress (APC) Party, Cornelius Deveaux the exact date and time for the return of the former President is yet to be communicated. He however assured that, owing to the former President’s highly applauded stewardship for ten years, the people of this country are set to give him a heroic welcome on his return.
