The National Secretary General of the All People’s Congress (APC), Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh and former Minister of Youth and one time Ambassador to the Republic of Iran, Amb. Alimamy Kamara have been reportedly invited for questioning by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), respectively.

Speaking to The Exclusive yesterday, the APC scribe confirmed that he had indeed received a call from the CID that he is going to be sent a letter of invitation for questioning. He however did not state for what reason he is needed by the CID. “I am waiting for the letter and after reading the content I would decide the next step,” the APC scribe said.

Also, in an audio message, Amb. Kamara confirmed that the ACC has invited him for questioning today, Monday, 7th January, 2018. In that audio, Amb. Kamara advised APC members and supporters to remain calm as according to him, he believes that he has diligently served this country and that he has nothing to fear.

It could be recalled that the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) had earlier condemned a press release issued by the APC National Secretary General regarding the establishment of the commissions of Inquiry.
