9 Clique Members In Police Net

Head of Operations at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Pademba Road, Freetown, Superintendent Theophilous Koroma on Thursday, 10th January, 2019 disclosed that nine (9) clique members have been arrested and are helping police with investigation at the Kissy Police Division.

According to Superintendent Koroma, the nine clique members were arrested following a battle of supremacy that resulted to a clash between the Grafton hood Money Pole Clique and Black Rose Clique which saws one Bai Sheka Aka Adviser of the Former stabbed to death by one Osman Bangura Aka Toshiba of the latter.

In another update the CID Operations Officer stated that sixteen (16) suspects have been arrested for alleged illegal timber logging at Falaba District.

The suspects he said were found in possession of raw timber lugs trying to transport them to different depot.

Director of Crime Services, Assistance Inspector General of Police (AIG) Brima Jah has also disclosed that they are on a double-track approach to nab the social media inciter, Gibril Bangura who resides in the United States of America (USA).

“We have commenced correspondence with Interpol on one side and have forwarded a charge sheet to the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice for collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the US Embassy in making sure Mr. Gibril Bangura is brought home to face the full force of the law for various offences,” said AIG Brima Jah.

In a no-nonsense mood, the Director of Crime Services pointed out that gone are the days when people in their comfort zones in the western world ignite social and civil unrest back home.

He vowed that all those behind any mischievous act to drag the country back to the dark days will face the wrath of the law without fear or favour.
