17 Clique Boys Arrested

Addressing pressmen during their weekly press conference at their headquarters on George Street, Freetown, the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), disclosed that they have arrested and detained some seventeen clique gangs for attempting to perpetrate violence around the Crab Town and Goderich communities.

According to the Director of Community Affairs in the SLP, AIG Kalia Edward Sesay, the successful raid was done by a joint team of SLP from the Operational Support Division (OSD) Headquarters and Goderich Police Division.

During the raid, he said, the police were met with stiff resistance as the clique boys pelted stones at them, rained obscene languages and even threatened to commit suicide if they dare touch them.

AIG Sesay further disclosed that the seventeen clique members were arrested with a plethora of harmful implements.

According to him, they are going be charged for  offences of disorderly behaviour and riotous conduct.
